Metabolic concept of modern city

Abstract
The author offers the interdisciplinary concept of modern large city based on the paradigm of socio-ecological metabolism. The essence of the offered concept is that a modern city may be presented as the network metabolic organism constantly implemented the transformation of one his substances in another (material, energetic, informational, etc.). In short, the key moment of the offered concept is the transformation of non-social matters and processes into social ones.
